Professionals Emerging as Business Leaders

PEBL Mission Statement

The Professionals Emerging as Business Leaders (PeBL) is a dynamic group of forward-thinking executives from a wide array of industries dedicated to building strong relationships in the community through philanthropy, networking, and ongoing strategic communications.

“PeBL Gives Back”

Launched in 2009, the “PeBL Gives Back” campaign provides volunteer support to local nonprofit organizations. As of 2010, the committee has worked with many different organizations including:

 - Upward Bound House helps mitigate the affordable housing crisis on the Westside of Los Angeles County and specifically, its impact on two vulnerable populations: homeless families with minor children and very low-income seniors.

 - WISE and Healthy Aging is the result of a merger between WISE Senior Services and the Center for Healthy Aging, which provides programs, services, information, and support for seniors, caregivers, and professionals in the aging field.

 - Westside Food Bank is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit corporation founded twenty seven years ago, which provides food to social service agencies on the Westside of Los Angeles County.

-         Turning Point/OPCC (Ocean Park Community Center) is a network of housing and services for low-income and homeless youth, adults and families, battered women and their children and people living with mental illness. They provide everything from immediate services - food, clothing and showers - through case management, mental health services and advocacy, as well as various housing options, from emergency through to transitional and permanent.
