The Art of Giving Foundation is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, made up of 100% volunteers who share the goal of providing assistance and care to children around the globe who are displaced and/or living in extreme poverty. We believe in the simple philosophy of "Children Helping Children."  We assist children of the world in helping other children in need, through the use of art.  By educating and empowering the youth of today, through curriculum's that promote compassion, we share the “art of giving” with future generations, who in turn, will help shape a more peaceful world.  

We are currently partnered with The Tutoring Club of Santa Monica to bring free arts and compassion based education to children in the Santa Monica community!

Beach Barcycle is a pedal powered tour vehicle that seats up to 17 passengers.  Most frequently used for special occasions, like birthday parties, office outings, and sightseeing tours for visitors, the Beach Barcycle is completely green.  It is propelled by 12 of the 17 passengers and has a solar panel that powers the lights and sound system.

Wilshire Montana Neighborhood Coalition (WILMONT)

We are long-term residents and newcomers. We are renters and homeowners. We are people of all ages. Some of us are families with children at home. Others have grown children. Many do not have children. Some of us live as families. Others live alone or with roommates.

We share an interest in this vital community.

The City of Santa Monica provides grant money to qualifying neighborhood groups, such as Wilmont. They also use these groups to foster communication with people who live here. We have input into the budget process and other processes which help shape the City. In return, we help them disseminate information on topics such as the impact of the LA Marathon in our neighborhood, including street closures, temporary changes to parking, etc.

We have monthly Board meetings and an annual general membership meeting. All meetings are open to the public, although voting is limited as described in our bylaws.

All people who live, work, or have a business in Wilmont are encouraged to participate.

EKLA upholstery is made using certified organic natural latex, certified organic wool from California, and organic cotton from Texas.   The frames are made with pacific northwest FSC Alder, and our glues and finishes are zero VOC, and springs are recycled steel.
